It's no secret that the uses and benefits of salt go far beyond the kitchen. Salt has been used in medicine and many other ways for centuries. The benefits of salt have been showcased by Epsom salt baths, saline solution, and inhalers- but these wet salt therapies can only go so far. Dry salt therapy (Halotherapy) is a more highly concentrated method and can reach further into the sinuses, alveolar, and bronchial pathways. Halotherapy, aside from being a relaxing experience has also been known to reduce stress, anxiety, and some forms of depression as well as improve skin quality and alleviate skin conditions. The calming effects of Halotherapy can support your immune, nervous, and lymphatic systems- increase energy, promote better sleep patterns, and improve respiratory conditions.
What should I wear?
Whatever YOU are most comfortable in! We recommend clothing you feel comfortable lounging in, and socks! ** If you're seeking halotherapy to treat a skin condition have the affected area exposed so that the Zen Den can effectively work it's magic!
How often should I visit the Zen Den?
Depending on the benefits you seek- consistency is key! Regular and frequent visits ranging from 1-3 sessions a week in the beginning are encouraged, until the desired outcome is achieved, frequency of visits can then be spread out for maintaining your progress.
Who can go to the ZEN DEN?
Whether you're 1 or 100, you can experience the relaxing and healing benefits of the Zen Den. Pregnant women and seniors, and people of all ages are welcomed.
How does it work?
The micro-climate of our salt den is infused with microscopic particles of salt that are blown into the room by a ventilation system (halo-generator). The salt bricks, lamps, and other Himalayan salts found in the room also provide and enhance the benefits of salt therapy. While the microscopic salt particles are inhaled deep into your respiratory system the benefits of these particles simultaneously work topically on your skin. The negative ions emitted by salt are crucial for everyday bodily functions such as balancing pH levels, immune support, muscle and nerve health, and fluid exchange. Everyday toxins that are otherwise ingested naturally can be broken up and cleansed by the negative ions of the salt den.
